The Shaman’s abilities are a nice combination of combat skills, spell casting and healing. In this article, we will learn more about the most important talent tree among healing Shamans: Restoration. This brief resto shaman guide focuses on some of the talents you can obtain if you choose to play as a Restoration Shaman.
Improved Healing Wave: This talent reduces the casting time of your Healing Wave spell, hence it increases the healing.
Totemic Focus: This reduces all the Mana costs of all your totems. It stacks with Mental Quickness to greatly reduce totem costs.
Improved Reincarnation: This reduces the cooldown of Reincarnation and greatly increases your health and Mana after you use Reincarnation.
Ancestral Healing: This reduces the physical damage of the player you want to help. Ancestral healing is based on crits and anything that increases your crit chance will increase the buff’s uptime.
Tidal Focus: This reduces the Mana cost of all your healing spells. The reduction of Mana cost may seem small at first but it all adds up to a considerable amount of Mana saved, especially in raids.
Improved Water Shield: This allows your Shaman to consume one of the Water Shield orbs on each critical Lesser Healing Wave, Healing Wave or Riptide, giving you Mana.
Healing Focus: This lessens the pushback when you take damage when casting a healing spell.
Tidal Force: This does nothing on its own, but greatly increases the critical effect chance of your next casting of Healing Wave, Lesser Healing Wave and Chain Heal.
Healing Grace: This reduces the threat of all healing spells and allows your buffs to dispel effects.
Restorative Totems: This gives valuable bonus to the Mana restored using Mana Spring Totem and the healing done using Healing Stream Totem.
Tidal Mastery: This increases your chance to get crits with lightning and healing spells.
Healing Way: This multiplies the amount healed by your Healing Wave.
Nature’s Swiftness: This makes instant the next nature spell with a casting time of less than ten seconds.
Focused Mind: This reduces the Silence time as well as counterspell effects used against you.
Purification: This increases the healing done by all your spells by up to 10 percent.
Nature’s Guardian: This allows you to increase your health by 3 percent any time your health drops below 30 percent.
Mana Tide Totem: This restores 24 percent of the maximum Mana of party members within 30 yards.
Cleanse Spirit: This can remove one poison, one disease and one curse effect from your target.
