Shaman Power Leveling Guide

Below you’ll find a basic Shaman Power Leveling Guide. If your looking for something more advanced, check out The Worlds Best WoW Guide. Zygor guides is also a leveling guide worth looking into.

A great number of WoW players choose the Shaman, especially in group battles. Shamans are very important in group play because they have both healing and combat talents. If you’re a complete novice in WoW and you’re thinking of playing the Shaman, this basic shaman power leveling guide will give you practical tips.

Totems are tools unique to the Shaman. It is crucial for you to master your Shaman’s totems. You can obtain totems by completing quests. These quests usually require you to travel to different zones. Once you get a totem, you’ll be able to cast spells according to its corresponding element. You can only cast one totem corresponding to each element at a time.

Let’s get familiar with your totems, this is an important part of any shaman leveling guide. The first totem obtained by your Shaman is the earth totem. This totem allows you spells that increase offense and defence. It also enables you to taunt or slow down your enemies. The second totem is the fire totem. This gives you spells that deal damage. The third totem is called the water totem, used mainly for restoration spells. And the last totem is the air totem, which enables your Shaman to enhance certain offensive and defensive aspects.

Next up, let’s get to know more about your Shaman’s transformation into a Ghost Wolf. Once you reach level 20, you will get your Ghost Wolf form. This will serve a great advantage to your leveling since your speed will increase by 40%. You will also be able to attack by bite attack and become hard to see by other players, which is a highly valuable asset in PvP.

Now we will get to know more about the Shaman talent builds, these are also important for shaman power leveling. Shamans have three talent trees: Elemental, Enhancement and Restoration. Each talent tree corresponds to different roles you can choose whether in a solo or in a group play situation. I personally recommend doing Elemental shaman leveling, as this tree boosts your Shaman’s magical abilities. The Enhancement tree boosts your melee damage, while the restoration tree concentrates on increasing your healing talents.

There is one important thing that you should keep in mind: Avoid tanking. Shamans don’t specialize in melee combat and it would be best to leave the tanking duties to the Warriors and Rogues. While your Shaman might be able to take a lot of damage, remember that tanking is not one of the Shaman’s best talents. That’s about it for this basic shaman power leveling guide.
