Many players in the World of Warcraft favour the Shaman, especially in a PvP group setting. The Shaman is extremely important in group play because of its versatility, combining both the Rogue’s combat abilities and the Priest’s healing abilities. This article is intended to give you a short overview on leveling a Shaman.
If you choose to play the Shaman, it is very important that you master your totems. Totems are the Shaman’s primary weapon. You must complete specific quests in order to obtain them. These quests usually require the Shaman to journey to different zones. Once you obtain a totem, you will be able to cast spells according to the spell’s corresponding element.
Let’s learn more about the four totems. The first totem obtained when leveling a Shaman in wow is called the Earth Totem. This allows you to cast spells that increase offense and defence, as well as spells that taunt or slow down the enemy. The second is the Fire Totem. This totem is mainly used to deal damage. One thing you should keep in mind is to prevent your Shaman from tanking. The Shaman does not specialize in Melee Range and it would be a better idea to leave the tanking to the Warriors.
Finally, it is essential when Shaman leveling to choose a good profession. Leatherworking and Skinning will provide you with the most useful items. If your objective is to make money, you can opt for Mining or Herbalism and sell the materials you gather.
