Shaman Leveling Spec

On this page you’ll find a basic Shaman Leveling Spec. If your looking for something more advanced, check out The Worlds Best WoW Guide.

A considerable number of World of Warcraft players choose the Shaman due to its versatility, which is especially valuable in a group setting. If you are a complete novice in the World of Warcraft, this article will help you with useful strategies in selecting your totems and AoE damage spells, as well as making an effective shaman leveling spec and choosing the right leveling gear.

First, let’s learn about totems. A totem is the Shaman’s principal weapon. If you want to be an effective Shaman, it is very important to learn how to combine specific totems to deal with every situation. The Shaman can use one totem corresponding to each elemental category at any one time. The most powerful totems are fire totems and earth totems. Fire totems deal a good amount of damage, while earth totems are valuable for increasing defence and boosting stats. Air and water totems are not as important as earth and fire, but they can be very handy in particular situations.

Second, let’s learn about Area of Effect, or AoE. The Shaman has a very powerful AoE, especially if you choose Elemental as your main spec. Elemental AoE spells such as Thunderstorm bring intense damage to the enemy and are very useful in leveling up. When using AoE spells, Searing Totem and Stoneskin Totem are reliable sources of extra damage.

Third is constructing an effective leveling spec for your Shaman. The best option for leveling is Elemental. Choosing the Elemental spec increases the Shaman’s affectivity on multiple targets and improves all ranged damage. You have to keep in mind two important things if you want your Shaman to level successfully: You have to know how to use the proper combinations of totems and know how to pull from a good range at a camp with mobs. Choosing the Enhancement spec on the other hand makes the Shaman more effective during Melee Range, inflicting a great deal of damage on single targets.

Finally, you need to select the right leveling gear for your Shaman. The most important stats for your Elemental Shaman are spell power and Mana pool. There’s no need to spend time and money to buy new gear, as the average gear for quests will be sufficient enough for leveling. It is more strategic to save all your money from quests at least from 60 up, as this will let you buy an epic flying mount in time. Thats about it for this shaman leveling guide and spec. Shaman Leveling Build

On this page you’ll find a basic Shaman Leveling Build. If your looking for something more advanced, check out The Worlds Best WoW Guide.

In the World of Warcraft, one of the most versatile characters is the Shaman. This article is intended to help you construct a powerful shaman leveling build so you can use the Shaman’s versatility to your advantage.

Choosing the Shaman can work to your full advantage, but you will require some time to completely get the hang of this character. The Shaman’s principal roles are healing and buffing, as well as DPS, depending on your build.

Restoration in the Shaman’s talent tree provides many important skills if you would like to heal and support other players, the Enhancement talent tree allows your character to have dual wielding abilities that increase your melee damage, while Elemental abilities focus on dealing damage from long distances.

If you are setting up your Shaman leveling spec for PvP, avoid Enhancement unless your character can take a lot of physical damage. Enhancement will not be such a good idea because it needs you to get closer, but lacks the ability to get or stay there. I strongly suggest that you go with the Restoration talent tree. Choosing this tree will definitely serve to your advantage as it will give you defensive and healing capabilities. Your Shaman can benefit much from going for the Elemental tree since it deals a considerable amount of damage, but always remember that this talent tree is vulnerable to interrupt and silence effects.

So what would be an effective build for your Shaman? It basically depends on your playing style. If you want your Shaman to stay behind and cast Chain Lightning, then I would recommend around 30/0/21. If you want your character to be more aggressive and go forward into battle, I suggest going for 0/30/21.

I would like to share with you my most effective Shaman build for PvP.

On the Elemental talent tree:

Convection 2/5, Concussion 5/5, Call of Flame 3/3, Elemental Warding 3/3, Reverberation 1/5,Elemental Focus 5/1, Elemental Fury 5/5, Call of Thunder 2/1, Unrelenting Storm 1/3, Elemental Precision, 2/3 Elemental Mastery, 1/1

Storm, Earth and Fire 3/3, Elemental Oath 2/2, Lightning Overload 3/3

On the Enhancement talent tree:

Elemental Weapons 3/3, Dual Wield Specialization 3/3, Mental Quickness 1/3 , Lava Lash 1/1, Shamanistic Rage 1/1, Feral Spirit 1/1

Then I spend the remaining points on Totemic Focus in the Restoration tree. This particular Shaman leveling build deals a considerable amount of damage through Elemental talents, the most effective talents for PvP.
